The Great River Tiger Chapter of the MU Alumni Association is sponsoring a Back to School Tailgate party this summer for MU students, Mizzou Alumni and friends. The event will be held Fridaynight, July 26 at Jackson Park and Golf Course in Palmyra, Mo. The tailgate starts at 5:00 p.m. with dinner to be served around 6:30 p.m. and a short program to follow.

Gary Link, Special Assistant to the MU Athletics director and MU basketball announcer will be the featured speaker following dinner. He will give a brief update on what’s happening at MU.

The event is being held as a back to school sendoff party for MU students. Both incoming freshmen and current students at MU are invited to attend. The meal will be free to all MU students. A special feature of the event is that four $500 scholarships will be given away by the GRT chapter. Only those MU students in attendance will be eligible and a drawing will be held to select the winners.

All Mizzou Alumni, fans, and friends in the area are invited to attend. A pork loin meal and drinks will cost only $5.00. Tailgate games will be available along with a silent auction. Golf is available at Jackson Park Golf Course Friday afternoon at special tailgate rates.
